Consultations are booked with a 15 minute gap between each appointment to allow the herbalist to record your details and write your prescription so you need to attend on time for maximum benefit.
You will need to pay a £5.00 deposit for free consultations. The free consultation deposit is refunded when you attend the Zoom call or attend in store. The 30 and 60-minute consultations are to be paid in full when you book the appointment.
When you make an on-line booking, we will send you:
- A payment link and when Paid
- A zoom link to use on your computer or smartphone at the appointment time
- A questionnaire to be returned as soon as possible to maximise your time with the herbalist.

Note: these consultations are for your own personal queries unless on behalf of children or vulnerable adults.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR CONSULTATION
The questionnaire you will receive will ask;
- what medication you are taking including supplements and herbal remedies
- your age
- whether you are pregnant or wish to conceive
- Your particular reason for requesting the consultation which will be explored along with details of your particular lifestyle, exercise, diet, sleep and possible areas of stress.
This enables Vital Botanical herbalists to be better able to help you with a personal herbal prescription. Their obligation is to ensure no possible contraindications with herbs, vitamins or products they may suggest. If there is time, the herbalist may also be able to offer relevant dietary or lifestyle advice.
Your personal herbal prescription will be prepared at the Vital Botanical dispensary and either left for you to collect or it can be posted to you.
You can always book follow-up longer consultations to report progress or explore other conditions, if they crop up.

Free consultations are to provide an introduction to herbal treatments and for support only as a full diagnosis cannot be made in 15 minutes. If you are undergoing medical treatment we ask you to make sure your GP knows you want to commence herbal treatment concurrently. REMEMBER, this is NOT a full consultation, which would holistically cover all your bodily functions, medical history and other matters which could come up in a fully detailed consultation. If you are consulting about more than one problem, you may be advised to book one of our longer 30 or 60 minute consultations
